ITS TIME TO THINK ABOUT WEAVING AGAIN
After a summer break I am ready to get started on more rugs. This time rugs for me! So looked at my picture gallery of rugs to decide.  Will I create a new rug or reinvent an old one?  Most of my rugs are sold so I can’t look at a favorite from the past. EllusionsI 1
Illusions 1  has always been a favorite, love the jeans and slippers peeping out at the bottom.
I may try this rug again and keep it for ME.

AnnesRugs are handwoven on two large loom, the designs are hand manipulted on looms fitted with Shaft Switching lever systems. All rugs are designed in-house and each one is an individual. First the design is created then hand dyed wool colours selected and skillfully woven into a beautiful rug. The entire rug making process is handmade; from the designing, the dying of the wool, the making of the rugs and finally the various hand applied finishes.

MY WORK SPACE  Over the past weeks I have been weaving two very different rugs. My work space has become very messy, and it will remain that way until I finish the second rug. I decided not to cut the first rug off the loom to conserve warp.

Rya Knot rugs are a wonderful way to make a thick pile rug.

Looking Out amoung the red hot pokers

Here is a finished Rya knotted rug for a client and I have called it Snowing.  The design was based on a rug the client had seem on the web.  I adjusted the design to my method. The warp is 8/6 Linen  with carpet wool for the knotted pile. More pictures here.
