The design was drawn up as a cartoon and I followed as best I could.  Here are a series of pictures I took as the rug progressed. Three strands of carpet wool made the knots which were knotted over two linen warp threads.  After one row of knotting three rows of tabby were woven and beaten down to pack in the knots. It is a slow process but rewarding as you see the scene develop.
